Autumn skies ….

…. October blue

red maple leaves

muted cardinals and finches foraging for the last of the bird seed

marigolds blooming their brilliant pops of orange

spiders building webs in corners and dying branches

leaves fallen from the trees make a crunchy sound

wind begins to howl with the untrimmed branches as they scratch the side of the house

nights grow darker earlier and the morning moon greets one instead of the sun

signs of autumn’s arrival

another year of reflection begins

time to clear away the clutter and begin again
