Last Day of Februar

Window III

I can’t believe that outside my window, the forsythia and yellow daffodils are blooming, the grass is greening and the wind chimes are chiming;

There should be snow on the ground and the plants should be hiding, instead we have Spring in the middle of Winter;

I’m quite confused and concerned for the plants, for myself, for others, and then I thought of one person I know who lives high atop a mountain nearby, and this one is grateful for the ability to come and go as they please without worrying about ice, snow and slippery slopes;

That’s my one bit of gratitude here at the end of Februar, where Winter should be, but instead where the Climate has changed. ©Anita Adams
