Snow Day

Cardinal in Snow

As I gaze out of my window, the snow is gently falling. The ground is covered in a white blanket of fresh, clean snow.

The cardinals, blue jays, doves and chickadees have found their way to the bird feeders. The blue jay is very bossy as he squawks at the chickadee to move on and allow him the space he needs to acquire some premium bird feed.

The temperature outside is about 19 degrees. All of he schools are closed. No one is on the road, and the weather forecasters said we may see some sunshine later.

Silence fills the house with a quiet hum of warm air blowing from the furnace. Peace is present everywhere.

Thank you God for a beautiful, restful snow day!
