…. October blue
red maple leaves
muted cardinals and finches foraging for the last of the bird seed
marigolds blooming their brilliant pops of orange
spiders building webs in corners and dying branches
leaves fallen from the trees make a crunchy sound
wind begins to howl with the untrimmed branches as they scratch the side of the house
nights grow darker earlier and the morning moon greets one instead of the sun
signs of autumn’s arrival
another year of reflection begins
time to clear away the clutter and begin again
